Tim Fitzpatrick finally managed to get through the fog to North Uist and to meet ‘The St Kilda group’ – the staff and students of Lews Castle College at Taigh Chearsabhagh, Lochmaddy.
And what an amazing visit. Inspirational, thoughtful and hugely varied work is being produced by the students under the guidance of Olwen Shone and we’re now beginning to get some thoughts as to how this can progress into the film element led by Andy Mackinnon. Also some very interesting ideas emerging as to how all of the work from North Uist can be best shown as part of the final World Heritage Day event at the Croy Miners’ Welfare community hall in April.
We’ll start posting some previews of the work here on the blog page soon.
